Well-Nigh Wordless Wednesday: Fuzzy

Sometimes I think there aren’t nearly enough plush moths in the world.  This one would make a marvelous stuffed animal:

Fuzzy yellow moth

It’s so cute and fuzzy!  I would much rather have a cute little cuddly moth than a teddy bear any day.  :)

  1. I would have no problem snuggling up to that.

  2. when I was a kid I used to study insects and catch bugs.I used to luv those boards with all the coloured butterflies on it. But I could not bring myself to doing those boards up and sticcking those pins in the wings. I’ll leave that to someone else.o

    • There’s nothing wrong with leaving it to other people! I’ve known entomology students who have done their entire collections with only bugs they found dead and didn’t kill a single insect. The amount of work they had to put into it to make it work… Well, it was a lot more than I ever did making my collections for classes. But it was important to them that they left the bugs unharmed and I get that. There’s certainly no need to make a collection for yourself if you feel uncomfortable doing it!

  3. we call this one “teddy bear with wings”

  4. Nice pic. Any idea of the species?

    • Um… Cute Little Yellow Moth of Adorableness? I’m bad with my moth IDs at the best of times, but I didn’t even take a shot of this moth from any angle other than this one. That’s not so helpful when it comes to identification. So, sorry. Not sure what it is!
