Today,Aug. 7th. our yard was filled with hundreds of dragonflys circling from ground level to maybe 15 to 20 ft., there were 8 of us watching. As they circled all kinds of birds were mixing in, but not eating them . It was beautiful watching though it sort of scared us all as we had NEVER seen anything like this, and we are old, today my husband turned 72. We watched till dusk in awe of what we were seeing. Unbelievable. We are on our farm at Bellmont, Illinois 62811. And they….were only in our yard, not our fields. But it has been extremely hot breaking records and last night we had two violent electrical storms move through around 1 a.m. and again around 3 a.m. Hope this helps you, your site sure helped us.
We had a swarm of dragonfly’s in our backyard this evening, it was quite amazing to see. We live in Burlington, Ontario
