Whew!  GREAT week for dragonfly swarms this week!  There seems to have been a major event in Ohio and other parts of the northern Midwest this week and another, smaller one in Pennsylvania, as you can see from this week’s list of swarm sighting locations:

LOTS of swarms!  Based on the number of swarms I collected this week, I would have assumed that the dragonflies are on the move, but that wasn’t the case.  Nearly every one of these reports was a static swarm and not a migratory swarm!  I’ll bet they’ll start heading south soon though, so be on the lookouts for some really impressive migratory swarms if you live in the Midwest or along the east coast.
