LOTS of swarms!  Based on the number of swarms I collected this week, I would have assumed that the dragonflies are on the move, but that wasn’t the case.  Nearly every one of these reports was a static swarm and not a migratory swarm!  I’ll bet they’ll start heading south soon though, so be on the lookouts for some really impressive migratory swarms if you live in the Midwest or along the east coast.

Tomorrow’s post is going to be much shorter than usual as I am away from home and am too busy to write a long post.  But look for Well-Nigh Wordless Wednesday on it’s regular day this week and I’ll get back to your regularly scheduled Monday posts next week!

Have you seen a dragonfly swarm? I am tracking swarms so I can learn more about this interesting behavior.  If you see one, I’d love to hear from you!  Please visit my Report a Dragonfly Swarm page to fill out the official report form.  It only takes a few minutes! Thanks!
