I have a big problem with my insect collection.  I’ve collected for two decades, so it’s rather large.  On the other hand, I don’t have a whole lot of time to work on IDing things and I have a constant backlog of unidentified insects.  My aquatics collection is nicely curated and labeled, but my terrestrial insects can remain unidentified for a few years.  Case in point, this gorgeous beetle I collected a year and a half ago:

Anyone want to give me a hand here?  I could submit it to BugGuide, or actually pull out my Borror and Delong and ID it the hard way, but you guys usually come up with the answers pretty quickly.  I’d love to know what it is because look at all that hair!  In the words of my favorite quote from the movie Despicable Me: “He’s so fluffy I’m gonna die!”
