Happy holidays everyone! I hope this post finds you well, with people you love, and happy. And because I love to put Santa hats on insects and spiders, I give you this year’s santified arthropod, Saltie Santa:
Santified is a word, right? :)
Enjoy your day, wherever you may be!

Merry Christmas, DW! Santified works for me, and what better an arthropod to sanctify with santiferousnous than a cute li’l salticid!
Thanks! I’ve been really sick, so this was the best I could manage over the last several days.
I think the commonly accepted usage is “claustomized”.
Ha ha! I’ll use that one next year. :)
Great artwork. Thanks for all the blogs this year. And get better soon.
Thanks, and thank YOU for reading! I appreciate it!
That is the best!
Thanks!
So cute! Happy Holidays to you too!
Thank you!
There is a fossil chelicerate (spider-relative) called “Sanctacaris”, which literally translates to “Santa Claws”.
Fabulous! A lot of taxonomists have a great sense of humor when it comes to naming things.
Love the spIder…hat really suits him! Have a lovely Christmas🎄
Thanks!
I’ll have to watch out or I’ll start liking spiders! Happy Holidays!
Spiders can be great! Especially the jumping spiders. They’re adorable – and harmless to you.
