“Bliss” is today’s Photography 101 topic, so this is my bliss:
That’s my first odonate (dragonfly or damselfly) of 2016! Saw it recently in Arizona at the Desert Museum, so was at a place I loved when I saw it too. :)
Tomorrow’s my travel day, so we’ll see if I can manage to get a post up. If not, I’ll post again on Friday!

Nice shot!
Thank you!
Most welcome :)
Flying freedom :-)
I’m a little jealous that you have seen a damselfly already this year. We still have to wait a bit here in Northern Virginia, but before long we may see some migrating Common Green Darners. I can’t wait.
Well, this was in Arizona – they come out early there. I haven’t seen any in North Carolina yet this year, but hopefully we’ll get our darners, baskettails, and corporals soon!
Yesterday I was out with a friend and he is pretty certain he twice spotted a baskettail zooming by, but no shots yet.
Nice!! I checked the pond at work yesterday and saw FOUR green darners!! So excited. No baskettails or corporals yet though, but will keep looking,. They should be out soon.
Love the color!
Thanks! I am rather fond of this color as well.
Looks just like the one I saw in November at the museum (on the dinosaur fossils they have for the kids to put together)! Beautiful!
Thank you!
Nice!
Thanks! I was thrilled to see it!
